Family Court Matters
The fees associated with cases in this area can vary greatly. For more involved or contested matters the Law Office of Gary L. Henderson requires a reasonable retainer prior to getting started on your case. Retainer amounts vary with the type of case and any work that we do on your case is billed at the hourly rate and is deducted from your retainer amount paid. For non-contested cases we offer a flat fee in which no retainer is required.
We also handle matters on a one time basis also known as a limited appearance. We can file a motion for you, appear in court on your behalf and draft the order in your case. This limited appearance does not require a retainer amount and is a flat fee for our services. Full payment of the fee is required prior to us appearing in court on your behalf. Examples of limited appearance issues include, but are not limited to: Motion for Modification (Increase or Decrease) of Child Support and Motions for Contempt.
In most circumstances, many Family Court matters overlap and coincide with each other. The Law Office of Gary L. Henderson will request a reasonable retainer amount to cover the legal matters we are handling for you.

Please be aware that the actual cost of any individual matter can change depending on the circumstances of the case. If at any time the cost of your legal matter is going to exceed the fee you were told, you will be informed prior to any further action being taken.
